Breaking Dawn Facial Cleanser

*I was sent product free of charge by Snowy Owl Cove. The following review is based on my personal experience with the product.

Anyone else immediately think Twilight seeing that title? That's what popped into my head the first time I saw the name of this cleanser. Yes, I admit, I was/am a Twilight fan :).

Snowy Owl Cove, a fairly new company, reached out to me to see if I'd be interested in reviewing product from them. I am always up for trying new skincare, and after a quick perusal of their site I agreed, asking to try the Breaking Dawn Cleanser.

The company surprised me by sending out sevearl of their products, plus a few samples, to trial (seen in the photo above). However, today I'll just be focusing on the face wash.

a new dress

I went on a little shopping trip to find a new dress recently. It took a couple of stores, and a few disappointing try-ons, before I hopped into Torrid. I don't shop at Torrid often, and when I do it's online. But, it was there - I was there - so I went in.

mental illness awareness

(source of photo unknown)

I've previously mentioned both on the blog and Instagram that I struggle with anxiety and depression. I only scratched the surface, only shared brief snippets, and avoided getting too deep or going into details.

However, I was inspired by the beautiful spirit of Patricia, Makeup By Patricia (IG, Blog, YouTube), to open up more. She shared some of her story, and reiterated the importance of bringing light to mental illness. While the world is coming around, there is still such a stigma around it. It is still so hush, hush. People who deal with it themselves are scared to talk about it, people who are confided in are uncomfortable to hear about it

blog update

I'm going to state the obvious here: the blog has been horribly neglected since I discovered the wonders of Instagram. I had not been into any form of social media previously. Yes, I had my personal facebook acount, but before this blog I steered clear of other social media. I just didn't see the appeal.
